First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove from exposure to fresh air. Seek medical attention if

necessary. If breathing is irregular or has stopped, start

resuscitation, administer oxygen if available.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Flush immmediately with water for at least 15 minutes. If

irritation persists or develops seek medical attention.

Emergency measure - Skin: Remove any contaminated clothing or shoes. Wash affected

area with soap and water to dilute. Seek medical attention

immediately.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek immediate medical attention.

Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon and

nitrogen.

Protective equipment: Fire fighters should wear full PPE including self-contained

breathing apparatus.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: For the substance:

Ventilate area. Personnel wearing appropriate protective

equipment should vacuum or sweep up the spilled material and

place it in a suitably labelled container for proper

disposal.

For the preparations:

Ventilate area. Personnel wearing appropriate protective

equipment should mop up spill using suitable absorbant

material. Use of self-contained breathing apparatus is

recommended for any major chemical spills. Place materials

and absorbent into sealed containers and dispose of in

accordance with local laws and regulations.

Handling and storage

Handling: The substance will only be imported into the EU in the form

of two preparations. Trained workers will wear appropriate

protective equipment at all times during the handling of the

preparations. The personal protective equipment includes:

face shield and glasses to BSEN 166; Nitrile gloves CE

approved to class 3, Nomex  C overall, 220 weight, Safety

shoes, anti-static, to BSEN 346.

Storage: Material will be stored in suitably labelled containers that

will be kept upright and sealed. Store at room temperature

away from sources of heat.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: The preparations are packaged in 40 gallon steel drums.

Stability and reactivity

Danger other than fire: None reported.

Chemical reaction with water: None reported. There is no reaction of isocyanate with water

due to the presence of the blocking agent.

Dust explosion: The substance is a powder which will not be manufactured or

used within the EU. It is not anticipated that dust

explositivity will occur from the substance.

The preparations which are to be used in the EU are liquids

and the issue of dust explositivity is not applicable.
