Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Type:
log Pow
Partition coefficient:
< -3.06
Temp.:
22 °C
pH:
7

Any other information on results incl. tables

Substances having a log10 Pow of greater than 3 are regarded as having the potential to bioaccumulate in the environment.

The n-octanol saturated water was adjusted to pH 7 to ensure the test material was partitioned at an environmentally relevant pH.

The limit value used for calculating the organic phase concentrations was taken from the lowest absorbance seen in the analysis of the organic standards.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The partition coefficient was determined to be less than 8.86 x 104 at 22.0 ± 0.5°C, log10 Pow less than -3.06.
Executive summary:

Introduction.

The partition coefficient of the test substance was determined using the shake flask method , according to the Method A8 of commission directive 92/69/EEC (which constitutes Annex V of council directive 67/548/EEC.

Results and discussion

Using the shake flask method the partition coefficient was determined to be less than 8.86 x 104 at 22.0 ± 0.5°C, log10 Pow is less than -3.06.
