Additional information

The ecotoxicity of the reaction mass of maleic acid and phtalic acid as produced (reaction mass in 90% water) has not been assessed as such due to the nature of the constituents, their low concentration in water and the confinement of the installation in the plant.

Conclusion on classification

Based on publicly available information of the individual components, and the fact that none of them is classified for ecotoxicity it can be concluded that the reaction mass is neither persistent nor prone to bioaccumulate, therefore it does not trigger any classification such as R50 to 52 or Aquatic Acute.
