The likely environmental fate of the substance has been assessed based on the substances physico-chemical properties and relevant study data.

The substance is poorly water soluble (<0.64 mg/l (based on a comparable substance) and has a high octanol/water partition coefficient (log10Pow >6.5). The low water solubility indicates the substance may persist in the aquatic environment. However the log10Pow >6.5 indicates any dissolved substance may potentially partition out of the aquatic compartment.

The substances high adsorption coefficient (log10Koc> 5.63) indicates that the substance has potential for adsorption to sediments or soils and is therefore likely to partition from the aquatic compartment into the sediment or soil compartments. However, this will be limited by the water solubility.

The substance is not readily biodegradable and no hydrolysis data is available. It is therefore considered that the substance may persist in the aquatic environment.

The substance has some potential for bioaccumulation in aquatic species based on log10Pow>6.5. However, further assessment taking into account molecular weight, predicted log10 Pow values above 10 and predicted BCF values indicate bioaccumulation may not be significant for the substance constituents.

Further simulation studies in soils and sediments are considered to be unnecessary.
