The read across substance amides, C18(unsatd.), N,N-bis(hydroxyethyl) is readily biodegradable and is expected to rapidly biodegrade in the terrestrial environment. Therefore, it can reasonably be assumed that there is no significant long-term exposure of the substance to soil macro and micro-organisms, terrestrial plants or birds. Furthermore, based on an estimated BCF of 112.53 L/kg and ready biodegradability, the bioaccumulation potential is assessed to be of no significant concern. Therefore secondary poisoning is not considered relevant and thus no PNEC oral for secondary poisoning was derived and no risk assessment on secondary poisoning was performed.

On this basis, it is assumed that HE Rape Oil, reaction product with diethanolamine will have no significant long-term exposure to soil macro and micro-organisms, terrestrial plants or birds also.
