Description of key information

Tridecanedioic acid was found to inhibit the growth of the freshwater green alga Desmodesmus subspicatus after 72 hours with the following effect values (geometric mean measured test item concentrations): The NOEC-values for inhibition of growth rate and yield after 72 hours were 0.761 mg/L and 0.393 mg/L. The LOEC-values for inhibition of growth rate and yield after 72 hours were 1.02 mg/L and 0.533 mg/L. The EC50-value for inhibition of growth rate (ErC50) after 72 hours was > 1.34 mg/L. The EC50-value for inhibition of yield (EyC50) with 95 % confidence intervals after 72 hours was 0.982 (0.888 – 1.11) mg/L
All effect levels are given based on geometric mean measured concentrations of Tridecanedioic acid.

Key value for chemical safety assessment
