Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The composition and viscosity of the substance are variable. The kinematic viscosity ranges from approximately 11 to 76 cSt (mm2/s) at 40°C, and 20 to 238 cSt at 20°C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Viscosity:
20 mm²/s (static)
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

The key viscosity value for classification of hydrocarbon substances is the minimum viscosity at 40°C. As the range varies above and below 20.5 cSt, some grades of the substance need to be classified for aspiration hazard depending on the viscosity.
