Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Foam, extinguishing dry powder, carbon dioxide, water mist. Product arising from burning: On burning, this material may generate toxic gases such as oxides of carbon, sulfur and nitrogen. Protective equipment: In the event of fire, wear a self-contained breathing apparatus and a chemical protective suit.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Person-related safety precautions: Wear appropriate personal protective equipment during cleaning. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Avoid inhalation or ingestion. Measures for environmental protection: Prevent contamination of drains, surface waters and soil. Measures for cleaning/collecting: Collect mechanically. Sweep up into suitable containers. Avoid dust formation. Dispose of contaminated material as waste according to local regulations. Emergency measures if spillage: Evacuate personnel from immediate vicinity. Wear suitable protective clothing and equipment. Avoid contacts with others.
