The measurement of the vapour pressure was done with the reproducible weight loss values starting from about 1 µg/min and sufficient difference from the melting and degradation point in the temperature range between 40 °C and 70 °C. For the evaluation, the weight losses of the temperature steps between 50 °C and 65 °C have been considered.


The plot of log VT of the test item as a function of the reciprocal temperatures showed a coefficient of correlation (R2) of 0.9911.


Inserting the equation for log VT above, the following equation for the temperature dependence of the vapour pressure of the test item is obtained:


logPT = 5.1909 + 1.1972*(-7442.8 *1/T + 19.109)


With this equation, the following vapour pressure results were obtained:


4.53 x 10-3 Pa at 20 °C resp. 1.47 x 10-2 Pa at 25 °C.

Conclusions:
The isothermal thermogravimetrical effusion method was applied for
the determination of the vapour pressure of the test item. A value of the vapour pressure of the test item was assessed using the data obtained between 50 °C and 65 °C. The vapour pressure of the test item was determined to be

Executive summary:

Test Design: The vapour pressure of the test item at 20 °C und 25 °C (PT, 20 resp. PT, 25) was determined using the isothermal thermogravimetrical effusion method. According to the guideline, this method was validated in the range 10-10 to > 1 Pa using a set of reference substances with known vapour pressures.
