Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Six acute experimental studies based on international guidelines are available to assess the aquatic toxicity of the registered substance.

Among all data available, toxic effects were observed on two aquatic trophic levels (fish and algae). The most sensitive species is the fish Cyprinus carpio, with a 96h-LC50 value measured at 2.9 mg/L. For the algae Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata, a slight concentration-response relationship was observed in the study on the growth rate inhibition but not sufficient to determine an ErCx value after 72 hours of exposure. The 72h-ErC10 and 72h-ErC50 values were determined above 4.15 mg/L, the highest attainable test substance concentration under the test conditions.

For the aquatic invertebrates Daphnia magna, no significant acute effects were observed up to and including the highest attainable test substance concentration (saturation), measured at 6.04 mg/L under the test conditions.

In addition, no significant effect of the registered substance was observed on the respiration of activated sewage sludge up to and including a nominal concentration of 100 mg/L.
