Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

48-hour EC50: >100 mg/L and NOEC 100 mg/L (nominal concentration) (highest concentration tested): effects of the test substance on mobility of Daphnia magna.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

A 48-hour EC50 value of >100 mg/L and a NOEC value of 100 mg/L (nominal concentration) (highest concentration tested) have been determined for the effects of the test substance, Reaction Mass of bis(trimethoxysilylpropyl)methylphosphonate and trimethoxysilylpropyl)methylmethylphosphonate, on mobility of Daphnia magna, in accordance with OECD guideline 202. The test substance was pre-hydrolysed prior to test initiation, with analytical verification confirming complete hydrolysis, therefore the test organisms were exposed to the hydrolysis products of the test substance.

In a second test, a 48-h E(L)C50value of >100 ppm (NOEC not reported) (nominal) (highest concentration tested) has been determined for the effects of the submission substance on mortality of Daphnia magna. In view of the test media preparation method/exposure regime, it is likely that the test organisms were exposed predominantly to the hydrolysis products of the test substance, with exposure to the parent substance likely at the beginning of the test.
