Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

According to the Annex VII of the REACH Regulation (EC 1907/2006), a growth inhibition study on aquatic plants does not need to be conducted if there are mitigating factors indicating that aquatic toxicity is unlikely to occur for instance if the substance is highly insoluble in water or the substance is unlikely to cross biological membranes.

Water solubility of test substance was predicted to be 2.236E-06 mg/l at 25 °C.

Experimentally, water solubility of a structural analogue, i.e. Similar Substance 01, was below 1 µg/l at 20 °C and solubility in 20x AAP medium was found to be below the LOQ of the analytical method, i.e. 0.2 µg/l.

Moreover, test substance showed no toxicity to other aquatic species, such as daphnids and fish.

Overall, aquatic compartment was not considered as target of the substance toxicity and a test on aquatic plants was not run.
