Test item storage: At room temperature protected from light
Stable under storage conditions until: 27 December 2018 (expiry date)
Key result
Melting / freezing pt.:
-13.4 °C
Atm. press.:
ca. 1 atm
Remarks on result:
not determinable
Remarks:
Melting point not observed, glass transition temperature -13.4 degrees C.

Experiment 1: during cooling, a glass transition between -40 °C and 0 °C was found (results are archived in the raw data). During heating, a glass transition was observed between -50 °C and 0 °C. The inflection point of the glass transition was -12.949 °C. A small exothermic peak was observed between 150 °C and 250 °C. It was followed by an endothermic effect starting at 300 °C. The effects were most likely due to reaction and/or decomposition of the test item. After the experiment, a yellow residue remained in the sample container.

Experiment 2 was performed to investigate the glass transition temperature. The inflection point of the glass transition was -13.903 °C. After the experiment, a colourless residue remained in the sample container.

The glass transition temperature was determined as the mean glass transition temperature of Experiment 1 (-12.949 °C) and Experiment 2 (-13.903°C).

Conclusions:
No melting point was observed during the test. A glass transition of the test item was observed at -13.4 °C (259.7K).
Executive summary:

The melting temperature of Epoxypropyl neodecanoate, oligomeric reaction products with cyclohexane-1,2-dicarboxylic anhydride and propylidenetrimethanol was determined by DSC according to OECD 102 & EC A.1. No melting point was observed during the test. A glass transition of the test item was observed at -13.4 °C (259.7K).
