Additional information

According to REACH Annex VII Column 2, the study does not need to be conducted if the substance is incapable of reacting exothermically with combustible materials, for example on the basis of the chemical structure (e.g. organic substances not containing oxygen or halogen atoms and these elements are not chemically bonded to nitrogen or oxygen, or inorganic substances not containing oxygen or halogen atoms).

Based on the chemical structure of this substance, oxygen atoms present in the chemical are chemically bonded to carbon or hydrogen, so a waiver of this endpoint is justified.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Oxygen atoms present in the chemical are chemically bonded only to carbon or hydrogen.

Therefore in accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 section 2.13.4.1 (b), this substance shall not be classified for oxidising properties.
