Description of key information

Stability

Hydrolysis

According to Kollig et al. (1993), Boethling & Mackay (2000) and Harris (1990), the test substance is generally resistant to hydrolysis because it does not contain any labile functional groups. Therefore, no study on hydrolysis is performed.

Biodegradation

Biodegradation in water: screening tests

The test item was not readily biodegradable in a carbon dioxide evolution test, since the pass level for ready biodegradability within a ten days window was not reached and the degree of biodegradation after an exposure period of 28 days was 20-30% CO2/ThCO2.

Transport and distribution

Adsorption / desorption

The Koc and the Log Koc of the substance at 20 °C is considered to be 330.9 L/kg and 2.5197, respectively. Adsorption to solid soil phase is not expected.
