2 (reliable with restrictions)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study with acceptable restrictions
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.6 (Water Solubility)
GLP compliance:
no
Remarks:
Draft report
Type of method:
flask method
Key result
Water solubility:
1.14 mg/L
Conc. based on:
test mat.
Loading of aqueous phase:
15 other: mg/5 mL double destilled water
Incubation duration:
18 d
Temp.:
20 °C
pH:
6.1
Details on results:
According to X-ray powder diffraction the starting material and the insoluble residue isolated from water consisted of the same solid state form.
Conclusions:
The water solubility was 0.00114 g/L (+/- 0.00013 g/L) measured at 20 °C. The pH value of the saturated water solutions was determined to be 6.1.
Executive summary:

The water solubility was determined using the flask method at 20 °C according to the guidance A.6 of the European Community (Appendix to the guidelines 92/69/EWG, dated July 31, 1992). The water solubility with 95 % confidence interval obtained after equilibration at 20 °C and separation from the insoluble residues was 0.00114 g/L (+/- 0.00013 g/L) measured at 20 °C.  The pH value of the saturated water solutions was determined to be 6.1. According to X-ray powder diffraction the starting material and the insoluble residue isolated from water consisted of the same solid state form.

Description of key information

The water solubility was 0.00114 g/L (+/- 0.00013 g/L) measured at 20 °C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Water solubility:
1.14 mg/L
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

The pH value of the saturated water solutions was determined to be 6.1.

According to X-ray powder diffraction the starting material and the insoluble residue isolated from water consisted of the same solid state form.
