Description of key information

The substance is a red powder at 1013 hPa and 20 °C.

Melting of substance occurs between 110 and 157 °C, followed by decomposition starting at ca. 246 °C.

Relative density is determined by using a pycnometer and is 1.379 at 20 °C.

The particle size distribution is not relevant, as the substance is placed on the market in liquid form.

The substance is soluble in water, i.e. ca 27 g/l at 20 °C, and has a log Pow of -1.3971, showing higher affinity to water than to the organic phase.

Based on the physicochemical properties, vapour pressure, surface tension, self-ignition and flash point can be neglected. In addition, it is not auto flammable nor flammable.

The substance is not expected to be explosive and it is deemed to be potentially not oxidising based on thermal behaviour showed in the DSC analysis, negative oxygen balance values and known experience in handling and use.
