From tests carried out in duplicate, Sample I returned an average value of density at 25 °C equal to 1.088 g/ml.

From tests carried out in duplicate, Sample II returned an average value of density at 25 °C equal to 1.092 g/ml.

From tests carried out in duplicate, Sample III returned an average value of density at 25 °C equal to 1.094 g/ml.

Conclusions:
The value of the density at 25 ºC of the test item, obtained from the average of the values reported for each test, resulted to be 1.091 g/ml.

Method

The density of test substance has been calculated using a pycnometer as described in the ASTM D 1817 -90.

Discussion

The precision of the method establishes that tests performed in duplicate on a same sample should differ no more than 0.02 g/ml at 25 °C from each other. The measured values of the density at 25 °C of the test substance, observed both for tests performed in duplicate on a same sample and for tests performed on samples of different lots, do not differ more than 0,006 g/ml from each other. The tests performed have therefore a precision abundantly lower than the limit imposed by the method and they can be considered valid.

Conclusion

The value of the density at 25 °C of the test item, obtained from the average of the values reported for each test, resulted of 1.124 g/ml.
