PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

The test substance is not considered persistant as the test material attained 75% degradation after 28 days and therefore can be considered to be inherently biodegradable. However, under the strict terms and conditions of OECD Guideline No 301B the substance is not rapidly biodegradable as it did not obtain 75% with 10 days of reaching 10%. The extent of mineralisation suggests that the test substance is unlikely to persist or accumulate in the environment. The substance has a log P of 1.08 and is therefore not likely to bioaccumulate. The test substance is also not considered toxic based on ecotoxicity results and lack of chronic health hazard classification.
