Additional information

Two main values regarding the short-term toxicity on aquatic invertebrates are reported in QSAR toolbox.

The first refers to Initial enviromental risk assessment of the japanese Ministry of the enviroment Vol 12 for N-methylaniline where is indicated EC50 48h Dafnia = 5.6 mg/l (immobilization).

The second value LC50 48h Daphnia magna = 0.174 mg/l is reported by QSAR toolbox with reference to Peter C. von der Ohe et all,Chem. Res. Toxicol., 18 (3), 536 -555, 2005.

Following the precautionary approach, the lowest value must be used for the risk assessment.

According to the CLP Regulation (EC n. 1272/2008) the substance that it is also not ready degradable can be classified as hazardous to the aquatic environment cat.1
