The ready biodegradability of the registered substance in water was determined using an OECD 301D, an OECD 306 and a Marine Bodis test. The substance was found to be have a good potential to biodegrade with an OECD 301D (>60% after 60 days), while the OECD 306 and the Marine Bodis showed that the substance is inherently biodegradable with ca. 40% after 28 days and ca. 54% after 63 days. The difference between results is due to the use of natural occurring bacteria in seawater as inoculum in the OECD 306 and the Marine Bodis which reduces the chance to have competent degraders in the test bottle. The main usage of the substance is in offshore locations associated with no exposure to agricultural soil.
