Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

PBT assessment

PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

Persistence:

The substance is qualified as not readily biodegradable based on results from a screening study according to OECD 301B, but was moderately degraded reaching with in 28 d 40-50 % degradation with a continous (increasing) degradation rate at study-day 28. Therefore the test substance is judged to be non-persisitent.

Bioaccumulation:

Not B/vB based on the BCF <= 2000 L/kg:

BCF was calculated with EPI suite, recognizing the biotransformation of the esters, the BCF values are

Log BCF (regression-based estimate): 2.48 (BCF = 304 L/kg wet-wt)

Biotransformation Half-Life (days) : 6.11 (normalized to 10 g fish)

Log BAF (Arnot-Gobas upper trophic): 2.76 (BAF = 569 L/kg wet-wt)

Log Kow used by BCF estimates: >/= 9.13

Estimated Log BCF = 2.482 (BCF = 303.7 L/kg wet-wt)

Based on this data, the test substance is not B / vB.

Toxicity:

For the substance a long-term NOEC value of >100 mg/L (loading rate) was determined in aquatic algae. Further, there is no evidence of CMR or chronic toxicity as specified in REACH Annex XIII. Therefore, the substance is considered to be not T.

Likely routes of exposure:

The likely routes of exposure are reported in section 9 of the CSR.
