Description of key information

The vapour pressure of the substance should be stated as a range from 0,0074 Pa  to 2,01*10E-18 Pa, based on the calculated vapour pressure values of the individual components.

An attempt was made to determine the vapour pressure of the substance following EU A.4 using the effusion method (weight loss). Vapour pressure was examined at four different temperatures. The experiments at 30, 45 and 60 °C showed poor reproducibility and no correlation. Values recorded were all around 1.7 *10 -4 . The test item melted at 45 °C and bubbled over at 75 °C. Therefore, no further experiment could be conducted and no vapour pressure could be determined.

Vapour pressure was then calculated using a widely used QSAR model developed by EPA, MPBPVP v. 1.43.

The predicted vapour pressure is in the range 2.09E-018 to 7.36E-003 Pa, based on separate predicted values for each individual component's structure.

All substances were included in the applicability domain of the model, thus the prediction can be considered of high reliability.

Results from calculation are in line with those obtained in the study attempt.
