Description of key information

No toxic effects occur in the range of water solubility.

Additional information

No toxic effects occur in the range of water solubility.

- The test substance has a very low water solubility. Therefore, bioavailability to aquatic organisms is strongly limited.

All available tests for the compound clearly show that the no toxic effects could be observed in the range of the water solubility.

  • Danio rerio LC50 (96h) > 100 mg/L (nominal, saturated solution)
  • Daphnia magna EL50 (48h) > 100 mg/L (nominal, saturated solution)
  • Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata EC10 / EC50 (72h) > 100 mg/L (nominal, saturated solution)
  • Daphnia magna NOEC (21d) >= 10mg/L (nominal, saturated solution)

- Activated sludge was not inhibited by the test substance: EC10 > 1000 mg/L (nominal)

There is a high probability that the product is not acutely harmful to aquatic organisms.

The inhibition of the degradation activity of acitvated sludge is not anticipated when introduced to biological treatment plants in appropriate low concentrations.
