Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

According to the REACH Regulation, Annex VIII, Column 2, the study does not need to be conducted if based on the physicochemical properties the substance can be expected to have a low potential for adsorption (e.g. the substance has a low octanol water partition coefficient). Acid Brown 282 is expected to have a low potential for absorption, on the basis of the partition coefficient that was determined by means of shake flask method (according to the OECD 107) and that was calculated as average of Pow; the resulted value is 0.8654 (average log Pow: -0.0752) (REACH&Colours Kft, 2012).

Nevertheless, the log Koc and the partition coefficients necessary for the PNECs calculation (PNEC sediment freshwater, PNEC sediment marine and PNEC soil) were estimated using the EUSES 2.1.2 tool*.
