Flash point at 101 325 Pa:
33.5 °C

Additional information

A study was conducted according to DIN 51755 (Abel-Pensky). The flash point of propargylalcohol was determined to be 33.5 °C at 1013.25 hPa in a closed cup. The Gestis database and the IPCS International Programme on Chemical Safety reports the flash point to be 33 °C at ambient pressure determined in a closed cup. HSDB reports the flash point to be 36 °C determined in an open cup. Three independent literature sources and a study report the flash point in the same range.

The vaule from the study which determined the flash point to be 33.5 °C at 1013.25 hPa was chosen as key value.

The following classification criteria are met:

Flammable liquids, Category 3 (flammable liquids and vapour) of EU CLP: flash point >= 23 °C and <= 60 °C
