Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Don’t give anything by mouth to an unconscious person
Skin: Remove contaminated clothing. Wash contaminated skin with soap and water. In the case of persistent symptoms of irritation consult a doctor.
Eyes: In case of contact with eyes, immediately flush with water for at least 15 min. Hold eyelids open to ensure adequate flushing. Obtain immediate medical attention.
Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. Don’t give liquids (milk, alcohol, fats). If spontaneous vomiting, reduce the risk of aspiration. Obtain immediate medical attention.
Inhalation: Remove person to fresh air. If person is not breathing, ensure an open airway and provide artificial respiration. In the case of disturbances in breathing, provide additional oxygen. Seek medical attention immediately.
Fire-fighting measures
Immediately contact emergency personnel. Keep unnecessary personnel away. In case of fire, use carbon dioxide, dry chemical, foam, or water spray.
Small fires: Dry chemical, carbon dioxide.
Large fires: Water spray or fire fighting foam. Water may be used to cool fire-exposed containers.
Containers may explode in heat of fire.
Cool tanks and containers exposed to fire and excessive heat with water.
Carbon oxides may be emitted.
Avoid inhalation emitted substances.
Persons involved in a fire should be trained and equipped with protective clothing and breathing apparatus.
Accidental release measures
Immediately contact emergency personnel. Keep unnecessary personnel away. Use water spray to disperse vapors.
Keep all sources of ignition (flames, smoking, flares, etc.) and hot surfaces away.
Secure containers before through heating (the threat of explosion).
Avoid dispersal of spilled product contact with soil, waterways, and sewers.
Avoid direct contact with product. Avoid inhalation of the product. Use protective clothing and equipment
Avoid dispersal of spilled product by the rampart area. Collected a large quantity of product e.g. by vacuuming.
Eliminate or reduce leakage.
Small quantities of spilled liquid may be absorbed by an appropriate absorbent (earth, sand) and collect in a closed container for waste and then handled in accordance with environmental regulations.
Handling and storage
Store in tightly closed containers in cool, dry, isolated and well ventilated area away from heat and sources of ignition. Keep containers through heating. Avoid fire or explosion, and dissipate static electricity during transfer. Use explosion-proof electrical equipment (ventilating, lighting and material handling).
Use good personal hygiene practices. Avoid contact with eyes, skin, and clothing. Use only with adequate ventilation. Avoid inhalation of the product. After handling this product, wash hands before eating or drinking.
