Description of key information

Study of this end-point is waived, because such a study is evaluated to be technically not feasible. FMMVF fibres are inorganic and do not contain any organic carbon and these fibres are expected to have low soil adsorption. The methods on biodegradability are therefore not applicable. Furthermore, FMMVF fibres are highly insoluble in water and they have been used for soil treatment and soil structure enhancement.

Additional information

The justification for the waiving is that FMMVF fibres are inorganic and do not contain any organic carbon and these fibres are expected to have low soil adsorption. Thus, the methods on biodegradability are not applicable.
