Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Steady-state BCF values based on total radioactivity TPP concentrations were 289, 1601 and 823 in edible, nonedible and whole fish tissue, respectively, for the 1.1 μg/L treatment group, and 289, 1428 and 749 in edible, nonedible and whole fish tissue, respectively, for the 11 μg/L treatment group.
During depuration, TPP was eliminated quickly with mean tissue concentrations 10% or less than the mean measured steady-state test concentrations by Day 11.

Additional information

In the key study (Blankinship et al, 2006; WIL project number: 264A-107) for the bioaccumulation in aquatic organisms, the study was conducted according to the OECD Guideline 305 (Bioconcentration: Flow-through Fish Test).

This study is presented as the key information as the reliability rating for this study is 1, according to the criteria of Klimisch, 1997.

The BCF value of 823 was chosen as it was the worst case scenario based on the the whole fish at a concentration of 1.1 μg/L.
