The water solubility of the bismuth metal was determined with the column elution method and was calculated to be in the range of: 0.687 -3.597 mg/L at 21.5 +/- 0.7°C with a mean at the plateau 1.873 +/- 1.527 mg/L at 21.5 +/- 0.7°C (mean value +/- standard deviation of all flow rates).
However, an enormous downward tendency was observed between 3 flow rates, therefore independency of solubility and flow rate is not given.
