Description of key information

A screening for ready biodegradability was performed by the closed bottle test.
Terpinolene multiconstituent is readily biodegradable.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
readily biodegradable

Additional information

Key study conducted according to OECD Guideline No. 301 D and in accordance with GLP without deviation.

Terpinolene multiconstituent was tested at a concentration of 2 mg/L. River water without particles was used as inoculum. Degradation was assessed by oxygen consumption measurement.

The pass level for ready biodegradability was reached in the required 14 -d window within the 28 -d period of the test: 72% degradation on Day 28.

This result is used as key value for chemical safety assessment.
