Description of key information

The 96 hour LC50 of phenyl ethyl alcohol to fish was >215 to <464 mg/L.

Additional information

BASF (1988) is an acute toxicity to fish study following DIN 38 412 method. The test species was golden orfe, Leuciscus idus. The study was conducted under static test conditions with an exposure duration of 96 hours. Four test concentrations were used, between 100 and 1000 mg/L and ten fish were exposed to each test concntration. The GLP status of the study is not known and the study has no analytical monitoring, with effect concentrations based on nominal values.The study is considered to be reliable and suitable for use for this endpoint.
