A study was performed to determine the oxidising properties of OS-1600 in accordance with EU Method A.21.The mean pressure rise time for the reference mixture (1:1 w/w mixture of 65% w/w aqueous nitric acid and cellulose) was 7.7 seconds, while that for the test substance mixtures (1:1 w/w mixture of the test substance and cellulose) was 23.2 seconds. Since the time for the test substance mixture was much greater than that for the reference mixture, the test substance was considered to be a non-oxidiser.
