Any other information on results incl. tables

The pure sample showed self-heating starting from 240 °C (max. temp. ca 325 °C).

The pure sample showed intense swelling in the Grewer oven which significantly reduces the surface of the powder and its air oxidation and thus the self-ignition process.

The mixture with kieselguhr showed self-ignition starting from 260 °C with a temperature rise to above 650 °C due to an oxidation reaction of the test substance with kieselguhr. In the mixture of the test substance with the inert kieselguhr, the surface of the test substance is increased due to the swelling of the pure product.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The pure test substance showed self-heating starting from 240 °C. The test item is not a self-heating substance according to UN class 4.2 and GHS/CLP.
Executive summary:

Self-heating of the test substance was analysed by a screening test in the Grewer oven according to VDI 2263, sheet 1. The pure test substance showed self-heating starting from 240 °C. The test item is not a self-heating substance.
