First-aid measures

1. DESCRIPTION OF FIRST AID MEASURES GENERAL ADVICE:

Consult a physician. Show  the safety data sheet to the doctor in attendance.

IF INHALED: If breathed in, move person into fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. Consult a physician.

IN CASE OF SKIN CONTACT: Wash off with soap and plenty of water. Consult a physician.

IN CASE OF EYE CONTACT: Flush eyes with water at least 15 minutes and consult a physician.

IF SWALLOWED: Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Rinse mouth with water. Consult a physician.

Fire-fighting measures

1. EXTINGUISHING MEDIA: SUITABLE EXTINGUISHING AGENTS

Water spray, alcohol-resistant foam, dry chemical or carbon dioxide

2. SPECIAL HAZARD ARISING FROM THE SUBSTANCE OR MIXTURE

Fire may cause evolution of carbon oxides (CO, CO2) and nitrogen oxides (NOx).

3. ADVICE FOR FIREFIGHTERS

Wear standard protective equipment and self contained breathing apparatus for fire fighting if necessary.

Collect contaminated fire fighting water separately; it must not enter the drains.

Accidental release measures

1. PERSONAL PRECAUTIONS, PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT AND EMERGENCY PROCEDURES:

Use personal protective equipment. Avoid breathing dust. Ensure adequate ventilation.

2. ENVIRONMENTAL PRECAUTIONS

Advice shall be provided on any environmental precautions to be taken related to accidental spills and release of the substance or mixture, such as keeping away from drains, surface and ground water.

3. METHODS AND MATERIAL FOR CONTAINMENT AND CLEANING UP

Pick up and arrange disposal without create dust. Sweep using a shovel and keep in suitable, closed containers for disposal.

For large amounts: Dampen, pick up mechanically to an appropriate container for disposal.

Handling and storage

1. PRECAUTIONS FOR SAFE HANDLING.

Provide appropriate exhaust ventilation at places where dust is formed. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Avoid formation of dust and aerosols. Use apropriate respiratory protection.

2. CONDITIONS FOR SAFE STORAGE, INCLUDING ANY INCOMPATIBILITIES.

Store under 25ºC. Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place. Protect from heat and direct sunlight. Smooth seamless floo.

For nuisance exposures use type P2 (EU EN 143) particle respirator. For higher level protection use type ABEK-P2 (EU EN143) respirator cartridges. HAND PROTECTION

Handle with gloves Cat. III (EN 374)

Permeability Level 6 - 480 min EYE AND FACE PROTECTION

Use equipment for eye protection tested and approved under appropriate government standards such as NIOSH (US) or EN 166(EU). OTHER SKIN PROTECTION Choose body protection in relation to its type, to the concentration and amount of dangerous substances, and to the specific work-place. The type of protective equipment must be selected according to the concentration and amount of the dangerous substance at the specific workplace. HYGIENE MEASURES Always observe good personal hygiene measures, such as wash hands thoroughly after handling. Routinely wash work clothing and protective equipment to remove contaminants. Discard contaminated clothing and footwear that cannot be cleaned. Practice good housekeeping
