Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Thermal Stability

A DSC-measurement in a closed glass crucible with the test item showed a weak exothermal effect in the temperature range of 235 - 280 °C with an energy of 24 J/g. The measurement showed

heavy disturbance in the temperature range of 440 - 500 °C due to pressure build up. A second DSC-measurement in a closed glass crucible with the test item showed a weak

exothermal effect in the temperature range of 230 - 280 °C with an energy of 20J/g. The measurement was terminated at 400 °C due to pressure build up.

Two additional DSC-measurements did not yield further information due to pressure build up.

Explosive Properties

lt was not possible to ensure a heat of decomposition below 500 J/g by means of DSCmeasurements. Therefore the main test on explosive properties had tobe performed.

Mechanical Sensitivity (shock):

No explosion within 6 tests using a mass of 10 kg falling from a height 0.4 m was observed.

Thermal sensitivity:

Six tests were performed with a circular nozzle plate with a hole of 2 mm diameter. The test material did not explode.

Interpretation of results:
non explosive
Conclusions:
. The test item has no explosive properties in the sense of the European Commission Regulation (EC) No. 440/2008, Method A.14 and in the sense of the EPA Product Properties Test Guideline OCSPP 830.6316.
Executive summary:

The test item has no explosive properties in the sense of the European Commission Regulation (EC) No. 440/2008, Method A.14 and in the sense of the EPA Product Properties Test Guideline OCSPP 830.6316.
