The bioconcentration factor of octanal was estimated by QSAR. the QSAR was carried out using BCFBAF v3.01 and a measured log Kow value of 3.5 (Rudio, 1997). The following equation was used:
log BCF= 0.6598 log Kow - 0.333 + correction
No correction factor was calculated via BCFBAF v3.01 for this class of molecule. The log BCF was estimated to be 1.976 (BCF = 94.69 L/kg wet-wt).
