Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The acute toxicity of Neoproxen to Daphnia magna was assessed under static conditions in a GLP study according to OECD Guideline No. 202. Daphnia were exposed to test concentrations of 1.0, 1.8, 3.2, 5.6, 10, 18, 32, 56 and 100 mg/L.
Verification of test concentrations showed that the test concentrations showed a marked decline in test concentrations over a 48 -hour period. The average of the 48-hour "percentage of nominal values" (i.e. 46%) was used as a correction factor for the nominal test concentration to enable calculation of the EC50. The 48 h EC50 was 5.8 mg/L with 95% confidence limits of 4.6 - 7.4 mg/L.
