Key result
Remarks on result:
no flash point according to standard method

In contact with the flame of the gas burner the test item did not ignite. Black smoke was observed. According to this, the test item does not have a flash-point.

Conclusions:
No ignition of the test item was observed. According to this, the test item has no flash-point.
Executive summary:

The flash point of test item was determined according to ASTM D7094.

An attempt was made to determine the flash-point of the test item using an Eraflash flash-point tester (Eralytics, Vienna, Austria). The flash-point could not be determined using non-equilibrium and equilibrium method due to constant error given by the Eraflash tester.

Therefore an attempt was made to ignite the test item using a flame of a gas burner. A test cup was filled with approximately 2.3 g of test item. A flame of a gas burner was applied to the vessel for 20 seconds and it was visually observed if the test item ignited.

In contact with the flame of the gas burner the test item did not ignite. Black smoke was observed. According to this, the test item does not have a flash-point.
