The solubility of ammonium p-toluenesulfonate was assessed using water solvent at different temperatures ranging from 30 1C to 45 1C. The amount of AMPTS required to make the saturated solution at different temperatures was estimated gravimetrically.

From the solubility study, it was found that the test substance exhibits positive solubility gradient in water solvent. At 50 °C, the water solubility was approximately 400 g/L.
