For each measurement, the mean value was determined from the measuring points. The mean value of the three measurements was then calculated. Each measurement point was automatically corrected using LabVIEW's Harkins-Jordan method.

A regression equation (concentration vs. surface tension) was obtained, showing a convergence towards zero.

 

Function: y = 73.654 * x -0.115

Coefficient of determination (R²): 0.9485

 

As the concentration corresponding to 90% of the saturation solubility is higher than 1 g/L, the resulting surface tension for the solution with concentration 1 g/L was used as the final result, according to OECD Method 115.

 

No micelles formed during the test, the determination of the critical micelle concentration (CMC) was therefore omitted.
