Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Density: Company data indicates relative density/specific gravity in the range 1.15 - 1.17 for the commercially-available aqueous solution.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Relative density at 20C:
1.16

Additional information

In support of the Key data, it is notable that in general, phosphonate salts are relatively high in density in solid form. Also, due to the very high water-solubility, saturated aqueous solutions of high specific gravity can be prepared.

In available secondary sources, specific gravity values of 1280-1320 kg/m³ and 1.3 have been reported at 20°C for analogous HEDP sodium salts.
