Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Study Results

In the preliminary screening test the substance did not ignite by a hot flame from a gas burner. Therefore the substance is not classified as a flammable solid and no further testing is required. The test item PEDB isn't a readily combustible solid of the UN-class 4.1.

Description of key information

non flammable
no pyrophoricity
no flammability on contact with water

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
non flammable

Additional information

The test substance was determined to be non-flammable according to E.U. Method A.10 and UN Test N.1. Based on the chemical structure and experience in handling and use, pyrophoricity and flammability on contact with water are not expected.

Justification for classification or non-classification

The available data on flammability of the test substance do not meet the criteria for classification according to Regulation (EC) 1272/2008, and are therefore conclusive but not sufficient for classification. Based on the chemical structure and experience in handling and use, pyrophoricity and flammability on contact with water are not expected.
