Description of key information

The test substance is a light beige coloured powder.

 

A melting range of crystalline subcomponents of >=169°C - <=180°C at 1013.0 hPa was determined by differential scanning calometry (EU method A.1).

 

A boiling temperature and/or thermal decomposition starting at 298°C at 1004.0 mBar was determined by differential scanning calometry (EU method A.2).

 

Relative density was determined as 1.38 at 20°C by the pycnometer method according to OECD guideline 109.

 

In granulometry measurements according to DIN 66165/ISO 3310 a mass median aerodynamic diameter of particles of 111µm was measured by sieving.

10th- and 90th percentiles were determined as 39µm and 265 µm respectively in this study.

 

A vapour pressure of 0.007 Pa at 20°C and 0.28 Pa at 50° was measured by the dynamic method according to EU method A.4.

 

The octanol/water partition coefficient (log Pow) was measured in accordance with OECD guideline 107 by the shake flask method and determined to be -0.25 at 23.0°C and a pH value of >=7.02 - <=7.04.

 

A water solubility of 49.63 g/L at 20°C and a pH-value of 7.2 was determined according to OECD guideline 105 by using the flask method.

 

The surface tension of a 1.053.0 g/L aqueous solution at 20°C is 72.6 mN/m, measured by using the ring method according to OECD guideline 115.The test substance should therefore be regarded as a non surface-active material.

 

A flash point of 203.5°C at 1013.0 hPa was determined by the closed cup method (EU-method A.9).

 

The relative self-ignition temperature was measured according to EU method A.16.No relative self-ignition temperature could be determined under the test conditions.

 

The test substance is not highly flammable based on a preliminary screening test according to EU Method A.10.It was also tested according to EU methods A.12 and A.13 and was found to be neither flammable in contact with water nor to have pyrophoric properties.

 

In a study according to EU method A.14 the test substance did not exhibit explosive properties as determined by thermal and mechanical (impact and friction) sensitivity tests.

 

In a study according to EU method A.17 the test substance did not have oxidising properties.

 

Additional information

The stability of the test substance in water was determined over time.A slow decomposition of the test item was observed.After 20 days, still 90% of the test item were detectable.
