Description of key information

For 3-Isocyanatomethyl-3,5,5-trimethylcyclohexyl isocyanate, oligomers, reaction products with 3,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazole the adsorption coefficient was determined by the HPLC-method according to OECD TG 121.

The test item is a mixture of constituents represented by an idealized structure. Applying the prescribed HPLC column according to OECD TG 121 the HPLC chromatogram of the test item shows 5 peaks.

No calibration substance with a Koc-value above the value for the peaks 3 to 5 of the test item was available. For this reason the results for these signals were extrapolated, but taken into account for calculation of the average log Koc value.

The adsorption coefficient of the test item was determined to be:

log Koc (range): 0.6 to 10.8 at 25 °C and pH 6.4.

The Area % weighted log Koc for all peaks of the test item is determined to be:

log Koc (average): 7.9 at 25 °C and pH 6.4 (100 area % of the test item)
