Conclusions:
In a guideline-compliant study, conducted to GLP, the n-octanol/water partition coefficient (log Pow) of tetraamminepalladium(II) hydrogen carbonate was determined to be < -2.73.
Executive summary:

In a guideline-compliant study, conducted to GLP, the n-octanol/water partition coefficient of tetraamminepalladium(II) hydrogen carbonate was determined by the shake-flask method and photometric analysis (at 200 nm) to be < 1.85 x 10^-3. This corresponds to a log Pow of < -2.73. The partition coefficient was determined at 20 deg C; the pH of the stock solution was 8.5.

Description of key information

In a guideline-compliant study, conducted to GLP, the n-octanol/water partition coefficient (log Pow) of tetraamminepalladium(II) hydrogen carbonate was determined to be < -2.73 (Lumsden et al., 1997).
