In consequence that the test item was insoluble in water only a small volume of sodium hydroxide was used to titrate the solution to pH 7. The acidity of SiC, TRS-9899-100F was calculated to a value of 0.003%

Conclusions:
The substance has practically no effect on the pH in water.
