Additional information

Although the log Kow of amides, C16-18(even numbered) and C18-unsatd., N,N-bis(hydroxyethyl) ranges from 5.45 to 6.05, a calculated weighted mean BCF value of 81 L/kg w/w indicates no significant bioaccumulation potential. This assumption is supported by the available toxic kinetics data, according to which the substance is expected not to significantly bioaccumulate based on rapid and effective metabolism by P450 enzymes into innocuous polar metabolites which are then rapidly excreted (primarily) in urine.

Based on these data and considering its ready biodegradability, it can be assumed that amides, C16-18(even-numbered) and C18-unsatd., N,N-bis(hydroxyethyl) has a low bioaccumulation potential.
