Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Adsorption coefficient (log Koc = 2.34, 2.74) (OECD 121)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Koc at 20 °C:
550

Additional information

In a study to OECD 121 guideline and GLP, two peaks for the adsorption coefficient were obtained (log Koc = 2.34 for cis isomer, 2.74 for trans isomer). For the key value for the chemical safety assessment, the more conservative log Koc value of 2.74 (equivalent to Koc of 550) has been adopted, which is also the value for the major component (the trans isomer).

A study further investigating adsorption/desorption is not proposed because the substance has a low octanol water partition coefficient and the Koc of 550 from the screening HLPC method, which was used in the CSA, demonstrated safe use.
