Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Reference
Endpoint:
melting point/freezing point
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
other: Well documented and reported study fully adequate for assessment. The study was conducted according to internationally accepted technical guidelines and in compliance with GLP in a recognized contract research organization.
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.1 (Melting / Freezing Temperature)
GLP compliance:
yes
Type of method:
method to determine freezing temperature
Key result
Melting / freezing pt.:
< -20 °C
Remarks on result:
other: No crystallization observed at the lower temperature limit of the test apparatus of -20°C.

Due to the nature of the sample crystallization was not observed. However a pour point (the temperature at which flow of the sample surface is restricted) was observed at -9.8°C (run 1) and -9.7°C (run 2).

Conclusions:
The freezing point of WS400402 was determined < -20°C (= lower temperatur limit of the test apparatus).

Description of key information

(EC) 440/2008, Annex Part A test A1.

The freezing point of WS400402 was determined being < -20°C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The freezing point of WS400402 could not determined exactly. The value is below the lower temperature limit of the test apparatus (-20°C).
